An expert system to connect and use your older Wacom tablet with newer MacOS versions - as simple as that!

Connect my tablet is doing exactly that: It connects your Wacom (TM) tablet to your Mac and restores at least its critical functionality to be creative with Photoshop (TM) and other programmes in Monterey, Big Sur, Catalina, Mojave, HighSierra, Sierra and El Capitan.
For many models and macOS versions, the Wacom preference pane, and therefore all previous functionality, will be working again.
For others, Connect my tablet provides a tool to let you change the most important pen and tablet settings. Connect my tablet also allows the change of settings of the tablet buttons for Cintiq (21 upwards) and Intuos3 tablet users. In addition, we have an additional, free tool (CMT Utility) for Bamboo CTH users on the App Store that allows them to change their tablet button settings. That leaves very few tablets, where pen and most important functions are already restored, but tablet buttons cannot yet be programmed.
Also, for the oldest tablets, the Utility programme from Wacom is no longer supported in the latest macOS versions. It was mainly useful to create backups of the preference settings. Our additional utility tool (see above) allows you to save and restore them (in its first version for Bamboo CTH users only).

As you might have to install and de-install tablet drivers, you will have to have full admin rights on your computer.

With version 3.x you now get an expert system, guiding you step by step through the reconnection process - or, if needed - the change of settings.

Currently Connect my tablet supports and is tested on:
Bamboo: including CTH-460/461/470/661/670, CTL 460/470, MTE-450, CTE-440/450/650 , CTF-430
Intuos: including USB GD and XD series (0 and 2 series); Intuos3 PTZ-430/431/630/631/930/1231W; CTH-series and Intuos4 (e.g. PTK) and Intuos5 tablets (e.g. PTH)
Graphire: 2,3 (Sapphire) and 4 series
Cintiq: including 18SX, 20WSX, 21UX, 13HD, DTU-2231 and others
But it works for many more tablets (like Wacom One) and you can always ask us at enquiry@wptrnpt.co.uk

Current capabilities for those tablets that not only need reconnection (and then their preference pane works again) but also require settings to be changed via Connect my tablet:

• Tablet/ Stylus connected
• One group of settings for all applications (although with different backups you can be application specific)
• Pen Pressure Sensitivity selectable
• Pen Buttons programmable (keystrokes, modifiers, clicks)
• Eraser programmable
• Double click assistance can be switched off/on
• Definition of the active tablet area
• Definition of the active monitor (currently for up to 3 monitors)
• Definition of the pen/stylus to switch to mouse mode from pen mode
• Change of tablet landscape orientations or to portrait mode (some tablets)
• Pan (Pan/Scroll) mode for pen buttons (for most tablets)
• Definition of tablet buttons (Intuos3, Cintiq 21UX upwards via the reactivated preference pane, Bamboo CTH via an additional tool)
• Functionality to disable pen buttons via Settings Menu and to assign 'Click'

We are happy to present version 3.5 of Connect my tablet to you – covering thousands of combinations of various Wacom tablets with macOS El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur and now Monterey. Compatible with iMacs (including M1), MacBook Pros, MacBook Air, Mac Minis or Mac Pros. The 3.x series of Connect my tablet is a very efficient expert system - based on years of experience of connecting older Wacom tablets, that now are unsupported. Connect my tablet will save your money, enables you to work with the tablet that you are used to, saves waste and therefore our planet, and - in these times - makes working from home more efficient.
V3.5: We again improved instructions but most importantly, we enabled Connect my tablet for the coming macOS Monterey. At the time of this release, Connect my tablet is fully compatible with the 6th public beta version of Monterey, so we expect it to be fully compatible with the finally released version.

Uwe ROCKED—and now my Intuos does, too!

I've used an Intuos 2 tablet on my Mac mini for years, without a hiccup. I'm currently running High Sierra and a couple days ago the tablet suddenly went dark. No signal, no response. I had made no upgrades or modifications to my system, so I was befuddled. Assuming I needed an updated driver I went to Wacom and tried to download and install one compatible with my system. No go. It downloaded but wouldn't install, no matter how I adjusted my security settings. Apple doesn't trust unidentified developers even if they're old standards like Wacom. So I went to the App Store and ran across Connect my tablet.

The directions are detailed and clear, and following them to the letter is imperative. I thought I had, but apparently still had remnants of an old driver standing in the way. So I sent a help email and the response by Uwe in the UK was IMPRESSIVE beyond words. He never lost patience for a moment (I could learn from him!) and guided me to a successful installation of the appropriate driver, into a spanking clean system. My Wacom is on the road again!

Uwe, I don't know how you keep your cool with people who manage to flub up as I did. But this app and your SUPERLATIVE customer care makes this a hands-down BARGAIN to keep your tablet functional, no matter what technology does to ditch our trusted tools! Uwe rocks and I'm rolling! Simple set-up (after 4 tries)

The title may be confusing with the five stars given. But with the personalized and detailed instructions from Wacom's customer support they deserve it. I updated my 2015 MacBook Pro to Catalina and started this program. At first, the steps were pretty confsuing and when I didn't see certain folders or files, I finally reached out to customer support. Uwe Huedepohl was so extremely helpful with everything. When I emailed support, I thought I'd get a reponse back in a few days. Wrong! It was 10 minuets!!! AND he was in the office until around 7pm helping me out. Come to find out, if you have the Clean My Mac application on your computer, you do have to change some things up as its not entirely compatible with Wacom (I just deleted the entire application since I never use it). That, and you also have to pay attention to which Driver you download.
After I did a clean of my files, deleted some software, and with Uwe's help -of course- I set the tablet up in less than 20 min. After running through it 4 times it became a lot easier to navigate. Best advise would be to trust the process and if you need any help, contact customer support. They are extremely helpful!!!

Revived my 15 year old trusty Intuos PTK-640

My trusty Intuos PTK-640 has served me well for over 15 years. With the current update to Mac OS Catalina, my Intuos has disconnected entirely for baffling reasons. After several tedious attempts to understand and fix the problem, Wacom instructed me to view and download the "Connect My Tablet" app from Apple's App Store. After downloading and following the instructions several times without any results, a caution page popped up for me to copy/paste and email the caution window to Wacom. Wacom's representative responded promptly with detailed instructions on how to follow and fix my Intuos tablet. After several exhaustive attempts, my 15 -year-old Intuos finally connected and was now working better than ever. But I must warn anyone with disconnected Intuos tablet to be patient and know that there will be a resolution to your issues. Finally, I must admit that the Wacom representative was very straight forward and helpful in every manner possible. Don't give up. Download the "Connect My Tablet" app from Apple's App Store. You'll be pleased you did. By the way, this approach probably affects other Wacom pen tablets and display tablet. Keep that in mind.
